Pharmacogenomics tailors drug therapy to each person's unique genetic makeup

What Is Pharmacogenomics?

What are tested

Genomic testing can predict how a person responds to each of the over 200 therapeutic medications.

The results can be used by doctors to guide personalised prescription across many areas of Medicine, based on clinical guidelines published by Clinical Pharmacogenetic Implementation Consortium (CPIC). By Tailoring drug treatment based on each individual’s genetic profile, it may reduce adverse drug effects, improve drug tolerability, maximise drug response and a person’s chance of symptom remission.

A Breakthrough in Mental Health Treatment

Pharmacogenomics is especially impactful in depression treatment. Studies show it improves depression outcomes compared with the current treatment approach of trial-and-error prescribing.
